The next stop is Hile which eventually leads us to Tikhedhunga. Climbing through the blooming rhododendron forests and the old oak trees, we aim for Ulleri that is at the height of 2,070m /6,791 ft. A final push to reach Nangethanti, and a few more hours of huffing and puffing will bring us to Ghorepani.

You may have often heard people saying that after you die, you see the heavenly light, but you won’t have to go such lengths as dying to see that heavenly light. The next morning at the Poon Hill (3,210m / 10,531 ft), as the sun peeks out from the majestic mountains, you will see the light. You will see the rays from heaven shine right at you. Mountains like Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Machhapuchhare/Fishtail, Annapurna I, and many more, will shine along with the morning sun. Walking downhill from Ghandruk, we will then reach Syaulibazar after 2 hours. Out trek finally comes to an end after we reach Nayapul, from where we drive back to Pokhara. Best Time for Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is the forever trek, you can do this trek any time of the year. But Spring (March, April, May) and Autumn (September, October, November) are the best months. The air, freshly washed by the monsoon rain, is crystal clear, stunning mountain scenery, and the weather is still comfortably warm. Although Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek can be taken during winter and monsoon too, but the cold can be bitter around the Poon Hill area. And the trails can be slippery due to the monsoon rain, Nepal’s famous Juka (leeches) are an un-pleasant feature of the wet season, but with care, trekking can still be possible and there are certainly fewer trekkers on the trail.
