Drive to Godawari, Hike Up and Down to Phulchokwi Hill, then visit Botanical Garden and drive back to Kathmandu.
Your guide and Ornithologist will pick you up from your hotel after breakfast. About 45 minutes of the ride in the private tourist vehicle will take you to Godawari from where we will start our hiking. The hill of Phulchoki is certainly the great place for bird watching, Nature Walk, and spotting some wildlife. About 2 to 3 hours of the hike will take you to the top of Phulchoki Hill from where you can see High Himalaya ranges including Mt. Everest, Langtang range, Ganesh Himal and many more and shocking views of the beautiful Kathmandu valley.
Around this perfect forested area, about 150 species of birds have been recorded including the endemic spring babbler, Curia, Mountain Hawk Eagle, Rufous Bellied Pied Woodpeckers, Black-throated Parrotbill, and many more. After taking lunch with incredible views sorrowing, you will hike down to Godawari. Leaving the mesmerizing hilltop of Phulchoki is almost heartbreaking. It was being an incredibly photogenic spot with the closest view of Kathmandu valley in one side and the Mountain ranges in another side.
After we reach Godawari (from where we started hiking this morning) we take a short drive to Botanical Garden for another chapter of the day, where you can watch numbers of birds in such a small area. More than 500 different Himalayan plants, herbs and flowers and more than 100 spices of the birds are found here. After visiting this beautiful Garden you will drive back to Kathmandu.
